About Jeanne
Jeanne Kane graduated with a degree in Speech Pathology from Loyola College of MD in 1993 and received her Masters Degree
in Communication Disorders at Boston University in 1996. Upon completing her graduate work, Jeanne worked in a variety of pediatric settings in New York, providing therapy and diagnostics to children with a range of communication disorders. After relocating to California in 2000, Ms. Kane served as Director of Clinical Services at a private practice in the Bay Area with Patti Hamaguchi, MA, CCC-SLP, expert and published author in the field of auditory processing disorders. Upon returning to the East Coast in 2006, Jeanne started Oak Hill Speech Therapy, a thriving private-practice serving the early childhood and school-age populations. She maintains a Virginia license (#2202005135) and her ASHA certification and membership.
To ensure that she is utilizing “best practice”, Jeanne regularly participates in continuing education forums and workshops, including PROMPT, RDI, and a variety of courses from leaders in the fields of apraxia and auditory processing disorders. Jeanne also presents to peers and parents, sharing her highly-successful treatment strategies for autism, apraxia, and early childhood language development.
As a speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience in private practice, I have always been passionate about improving one of the most essential elements in the life of a child and his/her family – communication!
